Avery Bradley (19 years old)
Similar size.
Similar quickness+vertical.
Great (on and off ball) defender.
Promising SG(excellent shooting mechanics, ability to catch and shoot...).
Similar weaknesses Limited PG (playmaking skills...).
In a way, yes. But, I think Rozier's playmaking skills and BBIQ may already be greater than AB's.
Agreed. I think he's also faster than AB with better ball handling. I liked how Danny put it last night, that he's already got NBA-level defense, but also a lot of offensive skills, so he has a chance if he works hard, which he does, to be "very special". He also noted how he's a fast learner and had been improving game to game. ("Special" is high praise in Danny-speak, so "very special" after four SL games is as high praise as I've heard him give a rookie.)
I also see him fully as a PG (who will score a lot too). Already, when playing with MS, he's in the PG seat, with Smart as a combo guard next to him. I think he's showing so well so early that ET's days of babysitting Smart are over. Also, AB's starting gig is at risk. Danny won't let go of AB easily, but for the right deal, I'd take it AB is more available now too.
