That's magic. He traded nothing for our two best players. Danny Ainge is a magician.

I like the acquisitions too. Just have to note, the irony of your username and these two players is amazing.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

This is true, and it is amazing that some people not only don't get it, but are totally opposed to it. Our two best, most established players were acquired practically for nothing. Thomas made a huge difference immediately for us. Lee will do the same. We also got Turner at a bargain price. That's 3 excellent players for basically nothing. We are going to be a good team next year and we still have all of our stockpile of assets to add more good players.

Another angle to take on this is that it tells you something about how high a value the league places on productive scorers who are terrible defensively.

also:

Our two best players sport career defensive ratings of 112 and 107.

The assett collection continues. Now we just have to hope one of these Brooklyn picks pays off in a big way or Anthony Davis decides he's really a cold weather kind of guy.  ;)

To be fair we have a roster full of really good defenders, and we really struggle to score so...

LOL ... Every time I comment about a player is good offensively but bad defensively, someone calls me out on my username. I might have to change it!

What is the biggest weakness of our defense right now?

I don't think it is rim protecting, but rather I think it is defensive rebounding. I think Lee will help that.

And Thomas is not nearly as bad as people think defensively. The advanced stats indicate that players shoot average to slightly below average against him versus other players.

That said, I can admire our GM's ability to create something from nothing, even if what he creates out of nothing does not include defense.

I agree with the last part of what you said.

This thread almost gave me a heart attack, I thought we traded IT4 to get Wallace back.
