$10 million total?
Or $10 million per annum?

$10 million total sounds too cheap.

Really?  It's a MLE-level deal for a guy who is a borderline rotation player, an 8th to 10th man type.  I don't think that's a bargain.

He looked much better than a borderline rotation player under Stevens.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Vomit.  Cap space blown on a redundant 3rd stringer.

Yeah ... he is a better shooter than Sullinger.  More assertive than Olynyk.  Signing will make sense if the team trade Sully and / or Olynyk to add a wing player.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I like this singing IMO it makes sense now we need to dump one of Sully/KO.

I think you are being a little too harsh Roy ;D!

Personally I don't think that 5 million per annum is too bad for a player like Jerebko if you take into consideration that players have been given big contracts today. Kyle Singler just got a 25 million dollar contract (5 years) which kind of justifies the contract given to Jerebko as their stats are pretty similar ;D!

Agreed. Also, that contract is going to be about the equivalent of the veteran minimum (exagerrating but not by much) in the 16-17 season.

OKC overpaying a bench player doesn't mean Danny needs to, as well.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Wouldn't surprise me to see him go out in a package for Harris or another FA. Seems like 5 million is a bit too much.

Bradley $8m+Jerebko $5m for Tobias Harris @$13 million?

Not sure why Ainge would throw so much at him otherwise.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

We now have 5 power forwards and 9 guards. Is this some kind of New Age roster configuration for NBA teams or are we on the verge of doing something major in the trade or sign and trade market? Maybe it's just Harris or maybe it's something major like Noel or even Cousins.

I'm shocked if true.  I thought he would get offers in the 7+ range.  Great signing!

True, but I wouldn't call 5 million overpaying given that the cap will rise ;D! And his second year is non-guaranteed which could come in handy next season.

I like this signing.  Relatively cheap contract for a guy who seemed to be a good fit for the C's.
Now the Amir contract....that's a different story.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

I thought Jerebko was an 8th-10th man before he added his jump-shot. Now, I think he is a well above average backup PF to low level starting PF.

I think Jerebko is better than Aminu & Crowder and those guys are getting offers worth $7-8 million a year. So yeah, I am surprised at $5 million per year and only 2 years. I think that is a bargain.

I love Danny AInge.  Love him.   I'm one of the biggest Danny Ainge apologists on this forum.

But thus far, his offseason grade is worse than an F-
