  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Who is "we"?

"We" did not hire him. "We" have no control over who ownership chooses to put in charge. And ownership trusts Ainge, and loves having him run "Their" team.

A better question is: "If ownership were to fire Ainge, who would be a good replacement?"

We, as fans, are the Celtics. We aren't the GM either, but that isn't going to prevent people from saying, 'hopefully we sign player x.' It's just a lot easier and makes us feel more connected to the franchise.

Has there ever been a more obvious answer to a question.  It is obvious the vocal minority on these forums would want Sam Hinkie to come destroy our franchise, I mean build a decades long super team here.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Anyone who wants to fire Ainge now deserves to have Isiah Thomas as his replacement.
