After underwhelming during the draft and finding it impossible to take our collection of mediocre assets (all of which are dramatically over-valued by Celts fans and Over-hyped as useable assets by the front office) we look to DA to make big moves in Free Agency.

I feel like Danny, Wyc, etc. have been talking about this next week for the last two years. Wyc was even hyping Free Agency after the negative reaction to the picks stating "We have room for 2 max guys". Danny Ainge absolutely can not whiff during this free agent/trading period. He can't use our cap space on middle-tier, non-difference making players (Robin Lopez).

There is now a ton of pressure to produce during free agency and if Ainge misses out the push back from fans and backlash will be at a level we haven't seen in a long time.

There is a lot of pressure because of the cap going up and the need to get better quickly. But, it's not like our carriage turns back into a pumpkin at midnight- We still have a ton of assets. you would think we will still get more just as we have been doing for a while. It will eventually work out, but no one knows when or how and that is what is frustrating.

A 2nd tier guy wouldn't be the worst thing. In fact it wouldn't be a bad thing. In fact it would be a good thing. Either Lopez or Monroe could come in and be our best player next year.

I agree there is a lot of pressure. No more flexibility talk. They  are either getting real talent to compete or IT and AB are gone and the team keeps building through the draft. IT better get all C's players to help recruit.

We actually don't have room for two max guys.  So I dunno what Wyc is goin on about.

I think we have 23 mil in cap space.  We'll need to dump Wallace... another 10 mil... If you package Wallace with Hozier, maybe you can get Philly to swallow the salary, but I imagine they might have other plans in mind with their cap space.  Not sure who is taking that money off our hands.   Even if we succeed in dumping that salary, we'll need to dump another 7 mil or so... which might mean Bradley or a combo of Evans + Zeller + something.

Maybe we could work out a sign-and-trade and move Wallace + picks/players to whichever team use to own the player we plan on signing.
