If DA can get into the top 5 of this draft, I'd use the 2016 and/or 2018  or a combo with our picks to move up. I don't know if there would be a chance at a better player next year to try to hold onto it, especially how bad the east is the Nets could get lucky and make the playoffs. Theres no fear of them tanking because they can't tank into anything.

So if there is a chance at Russel,Okafor, or Winslow, I'd use them as long as we don't have to give up much of anything else like Smart or Young. A Russel/Smart back court would be pretty nice for the future. Or a Smart/Young/Winslow could be nice as well, just hope Young improves enough.

I would offer Both of this year's #1s as well as one of the Nets #1s

If they could trade ALL of the Nets picks with maybe our own picks this year not including Smart please trade it for number 3

Yep.  There's a perception right now that the Nets pick COULD be top 5.   IF they re-sign Brook and Thad, look for it to be more like 12-17.    It COULD get more valuable if the pick actually ends up top 5.   But it COULD lose value before the season even starts.

This is a good time for an "anonymous GM" to start floating negative rumors about Brooklyn's future... Brook leaving... salary dumps of Williams and Johnson... the team clearing money to help the sale of the franchise, etc.
