The Orlando Magic will decline their $4.5 million option on the contract of Ben Gordon for next season.

Passing on Gordon’s option will give the Magic $14.5 million in salary cap space for free agency.

Gordon signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Magic last offseason.

I'm not sure this necessarily means they are trying to keep Harris... though they really really should.    Gordon's career has been over for a couple years... there's literally no reason to pick up his option.  He's total garbage and makes no sense for their young team... especially at that kind of money.

Gordon barely played at all for them last year. He's been done for years now. I wouldn't read too much into it other than they are not stupid.

So, are you predicting he signs with the Cavs for the minimum?

Ben Gordon sounded really excited to play for Scott Skiles again, too. Unfortunate.

It's a shame the way his career has went since leaving Chicago.
