What a perfect selection waiting to be made at 14 by Ok. City.  They can start him at the 2 and he can back up the 3.  They have more offense then ever with Kanter at center.  They need someone who can take one of the splash brothers (Klay Thomposn) out of his game completely...while guarding SF and up to three positions, 4 if he's right that he can defend PG's.  I'm sure he can.

Westbrook
RHJ
Durant
Ibaka
Kanter, Adams

Perfect pick IMO.

They already have Roberson for wing defense. If the Thunder use a third consecutive pick on drafting another defensive specialist who can't shoot (Roberson in 2013, Huestis last year), Presti deserves to be fired.

If they were smart, they'd be calling us every day offering almost any package that doesn't include Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka they can for Bradley. He is pretty much EXACTLY what they need at the off-guard spot next to Russ, and would be the perfect defensive presence for their back-court. Could be the exact thing they need to push a healthy Thunder squad over the top of the changing Western Conference.

Of course Ainge is no fool, so you'd probably have to include Adams and get an small extra asset or two from Ainge. Oh well, plenty of bigs in this draft.

I agree that Bradley is what okc needs but losing Adams is too much of a loss for them considering they at least still have Roberson

I think losing value is not that important when you are in contention (I think they will be with AB).
So losing Adams who is not a cornerstone player is not much of a big deal regarding the impact AB could have in the entire team production.

Losing Adams is a HUGE deal when he's the only credible defensive center they have. Kanter is literally the worst defending center in the league and Ibaka is a power forward whom they're probably not going to want playing the 5 too often after the team's recent injury struggles over the past 3 years.

Bradley's production will be nullified if people can just repeatedly score on the interior, as we just saw this past season when Kanter's production was cancelled out by giving up even more points than he scored.

And OKC has been in contention since 2011. Three WCF trips, a Finals trip in that span, the second best total record in the league behind only San Antonio (including this down year) - let's not start revising history just because of this injury-plagued season.

Would they trade the 14 for Bradley?

This would make way too much sense for OKC - not sure Ainge wants to lose AB for #14, but if there is a guy he really likes there, it seems like a reasonable return - especially if he can't see AB and Smart starting together long term.

We could always use #16 and #14 to move up, but losing AB for just a short four game playoff run would be tough...and I was definitely in favor of making the playoffs.

If the Thunder are Smart, they'll take Cameron Payne if he's still on the board.

They need to get healthy first..with Katner now, OKC should be top 3 team in the NBA if all are healthy
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I would think that an offer of AB and 16 would get a higher pick than offering picks 14 and 16.  why make an extra trade to weaken a bargaining position?

Absolutely. If were trading AB who, in my opinion at least, is the 3rd most valuable trade chip we have on the roster (after Smart and IT) then it needs to be for a pick higher up in the lottery, or combined with an additional asset(s). That Jazz deal for 12 and Rodney Hood would be a way better deal to look for if your trading AB. Not only is that a higher pick, thus making it easier to combine and move up again, but it includes Hood who is a talented young player on a rookie deal who proved last season that he can play in the NBA.

It's not even a question, OKC would most assuredly offer up #14 for AB. They might already have tried, but there's no way is Ainge taking that. Ainge loves Bradley and even so, no good GM would do that. Bradley is worth more than the 14th pick in this draft. That's why I said they need to include Adams, and would need to include 28, 33 or a future 1st (Like the Minny or Dallas one)
