Not sure if this helps Butler leave Chicago and our chances of getting him, but I sure as heck hope so!!

I don't think that would be the reason for Butler to try to leave the team, although he probably is going to try. There is no doubt in my mind that Butler is going to explore free agency and sign a offer sheet, after all wasn't that the whole point of him declining a contract extension mid season. However, there is also no doubt in my mind that Chicago will match any offer that he gets, including a max contract. I'd love to see him on our team as I do with all other first tier free agents (besides Kevin Love), but Butler is basically Chicago's future if Noah's health is factored in as well as Gasol's age.

Chicago is reportedly going to be "proactive" and offer Butler a max right off the bat, so it doesn't make much sense for Butler to sign an offer sheet since other teams will not be able to offer as much money as Chicago.

Ehh. The whole team stunk in that last game and pretty much throughout the series. Lots of blown opportunities. There was probably a lot of tension typical of any team in that situation.

I think Butler is going to go for a 2 year deal for a player option on the second year, and then sign a max when the new TV deal kicks in. Will be interesting to see what kind of deal Butler/Chicago will work out if he deals with Chicago directly.

I typically regard any media story about an in-game spat between teammates as inconsequential.  These guys live for their craft.  This stuff matters to them, and they're passionate about it. Occasional disagreements are something I expect given that environment.  Put 15 guys in a tough situation (like being down in an elimination game) and chances are solid that a few of them won't agree on how to solve the problem.  Most (but not all) of these tiffs are patched before they get on the bus after the game.

Unless a team is winning all their games and all the players share the minutes, there will be tension and sometimes little fight or disagreements.
The opposite should be alarming, in the sense of lack of passion or some sort.

If there is any truth to this story, the probability of signing Butler remains 0.0000000%, but the probability of trading for Rose (for those who are into that sort of thing) rises above 0.0001%.

i don't understand how Jimmy Butler takes this abuse, if I were him, I'd look to a team that would make better use of his talent. A team that would appreciate his level of play!

If the team wore a green and white uniform...so much the better. lol
