According to this Spanish website, the Celtics will play against Milan on 6 October and against Real Madrid two days later. I'm from Portugal and I was at that Rome game against the Raptors that ignited our last championship season. Anybody here planning to attend this European games? No news about tickets yet.  :-\
Interesting note: This will be the second time the Celtics play against Real Madrid. The first game was in 1988 and Danny Ainge (alongside Bird, Parish and McHale) played in the Spanish capital against a team that featured Drazen Petrovic.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Man, get in a plane! Isn't there a Ryanair or Easyjet flight from Athens?

Pity we can't attract NBA teams to Oz. We would have to bring 2 or 3 teams for a tournament as the local league is probably below college level in the US and would be no challenge. Maybe 3 NBA and 2 European teams would work. Unfortunately the only team that ever tours here is the Harlem Globetrotters, which is not really competitive basketball.

I see Celtics tops here nearly everyday I leave the house. Though to be fair none have the names of current players on the back. I am certain we could fill some big rooms here if NBA teams were playing.

I won't be going to Europe so I will leave this thread and get to work on organising a tournament.

This news is good and makes me happy. But I still don't like the Los Celtics jerseys.

Madrid is better for the nightlife, Milan is better for the cultural side.
