A 0.5 point swing in our favor would clinch us a playoff spot. That means:
-We win 1 more game.
-Indiana or Brooklyn lose 1 more game.
Our next chance to clinch is tonight when Brooklyn faces the Bulls (playing really well lately)
Additionally, a single win by the Celtics clinches the 7th seed. To finish 8th, the Celtics would need to lose both of their remaining games, and one of the Nets and Pacers (but not both) would need to win both of their games.
I would LOVE to see the C's get 8th and Indiana get 7th. I think that would probably be the only team (Bos, Ind or Brooklyn) that would give the Cavs a VERY difficult time...anyone else agree?
I'd rather the C's just keep playing good basketball to finish out the season. Losing their last two games and backing into the playoffs wouldn't be as fun.
Also, I think the C's have as good of a chance vs. the Cavs as the Pacers do. We're a deeper team and have a chance to throw out some lineups that cause confusion at times, and I like the potential of Stevens to press some of those buttons at times during the series. At the end of the day, the Cavs should be too talented for it to matter against either team, but I'd put my dollars on Stevens over Vogel.
