The Heat are the Worst second half team in the NBA .....this indicates some very poor coaching and stupid players
Spo ....is probably a good dude . But DWade plays street pick up ball......he is strong and dumb as a rock . He won't play many if any sets .....he plays pickup seat of the pants ball . How do you coach guys who are to stupid and mean to listen to you.
And then there is Whiteside. Pretty much a coach's nightmare.
may i ask why? a real question. i havent heard anything on his willingness to accept coaching. if you have, please share it.
Whiteside managed to get ejected in two games in a row.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2391074-hassan-whiteside-ejected-after-hitting-celtics-kelly-olynk-with-cheap-shotThe fact that he arrived to MIA with a reputation of being talented but with a short fuse did not help, but judging from the result he and Spo managed the situation well.
If I am to contribute to this conversation
i/MIA's priorities are quite different than Boston's. Yes, they might stay out of the playoffs, but making it in the playoffs with a low seed had less value for them to begin with. With two future HoF in their prime (or close to their twilight, depends on your POV) the priority was to add two-three more pieces that would bring them closer to contention before their window of opportunity is shut once for for all.
ii/ With Whiteside and Dragic they have arguably two of these pieces extra pieces they needed, but they still lack a couple of first rate players to be seriously considered a contender. If I were a MIA fan I would be more worried about Pfund's + Riley's moves in this summer than about the remaining of this year.
iii/I haven't watched many MIA games this year,
but IMO Spo deserves some credit from bringing out the good side in Whiteside and well, he did not coach his decimated team badly in his crucial W in TD Garden

I mean, let's try at least to be fair and admit Spo is a top-10 coach in the NBA. Easily.
