There might not be a single player on this roster that would start on a true contender.  It's a team of role players.

What about AB. Didn't he beat out Ray for a starting spot? Didn't he, a D guy score 30 the other night?

Doc wanted Ray to come off the bench because the 2nd unit needed an offensive infusion.  AB being a starter benefited offensively from playing with Rondo and improved the starting unit's defense.

and to whomever said we could "easily" upgrade all 5 of our starting spots: get real. We just need a star!

Even with the addition of a star player (say, at the 3), this team would still need to upgrade 1-2 additional positions to be a legit contender, IMO.

Agreed. This team is not that close right now we have a couple really big offseasons ahead of us.
I do like what we have at the 1,2, and 4 but expect at least a few of these guys to be moved as a part of upgrades at other positions.
