he should shuttle back and forth to red claws, what is he learning in 10min-with all the traveling the team hardly practices, marcus had his stength and elite level d to fall back on -if he was lighting it up with his shooting but he can't play both ends without his shooting getting rushed -he is just not ready ,been saying this for months-prince was like 35 and a player and i'm afraid to say with so little to back it up but so can dantome-young had one year at kentucky and didn't shoot that much -

Young at 19 is getting the feel of playing against the best basketball players in the world. If his darn shot starts to fall, and it will, all will be well.

This is one of the reasons I was against making a run at the playoffs, because guys like Young wouldn't be allowed to get extended minutes. The problem is these Celtic kids like to battle.

I don't know from what I've seen of the Red Claws, he would have been better off staying in College.

while I don't know the exact details of what guys sent down to the D-league are actually learning or not learning, I'm thinking it's not much. in fact i'm bordering on it almost being a detriment. from what I've seen/heard there's no D being played and pretty much everyone has the green light....basically there's no discipline. it's nice for sending young guys down for short stints, but I could see bad habits being developed.

I think the C's have handled Young well so far and generally other guys who they've sent down overall. I think it's important for him to see the NBA life and again don't want to see the D-league bad habits develop. but I also agree with a previous poster who said the playoffs shouldn't have been such a concern. developing the young guys should have taken precedence.

I agree. D-League should only be used as a confidence booster. D-League creates too many lackadaisical efforts and habits, so I think Young should not go to D-League simply cause his defense got worse to me eye test wise when he came back. He also seemed too timid to shoot despite his success in D-League.

Young is for less words to express, very young. Give him some slack, and time. He was the youngest player to come out, so the fact hes not even 21, only adds onto how much potential he has. Plus, I like CBS. He seems like a very good coach to play for.
