I really wish. But honestly, don't see it happening. OKC can give him a lucrative contract and pray he stays, or they make some good moves like Affalo, Lopez, anything that showed their intent to win. Wizards have ties through DC familiarity, and potential top 3 back court. And as you know other teams have cap space/decent players to offer.

If by some miracle, we acquired DMC, and still had a young decent of assets/picks/players. We could offer good value through sign and trade, if OKC builds around Westbrook/Ibaka. But it all stems from how our roster pans out in a few years.

Or convince Durant, that Ainge knows how to win championships, and he can do it again. (In FA.)

(EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC) - Liked the added touch lol.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen

I don't see us getting him in the future unless we draft or trade for a star players

oKC would need to blow up there operation with Westbrook and ibaka gone

I don't see him going to DC even with his hometown roots, John wall and Bradley beal as a core is a big step down from ibaka and Westbrook

Also there starters are more volatile with gortat and nene being veterans

In the future there should be some more appealing destinations with stars and in a big market city

I know this is going to sound absolutely insane...but I don't want him to be a Celtic.

I feel like it takes a certain attitude and character to be a Celtic - a certain grit, toughness and competitive fire.   I just don't believe Durant has that in him.

Throughout his career my criticism of Durant has always been the same - he's soft as a pillow.  The way he goes hugging Lebron on the very court he's just about to pay him on,  the lacklustre defense (often an indicator of lack of richness toughness), the way his teams tend to always come up short despite being absolutely stacked worth with talent...the way he opens his mouth and it sounds like the fairy godmother just spoke.

I know he's an elite player and I'm not denying that...I just don't like the guy out anything that he stands for.  The way I see it he is the ultimate example of the prima-donna attitude that has turned today's game in to the politically correct 'touch foul' fest it is.

I would actuary rather have DMC than Durant.  He might be a whiner, but at least he's not afraid to throw his weight around and show some physicality.
