I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but because of the extended break - an extra 2 day off- how will GMs now look at their teams? In the past, a few teams would play again on the Tuesday following the break and then a full schedule on Wednesday after the break. Now with the extra days off, will GMs be more or less likely to budge on players and want to hold onto them? or do they have a good sense of what's out there and play with less poker hands?

I for one don't like it because it doesn't give the fans time to anticipate what may happen because of a game played on the Wednesday night - chance of injury, in-team fighting, coach-player disagreements, etc.

What are your thoughts? Will the extended break hurt or help teams looking to make changes?

I think it's better.  Not sure it will affect it much, but those games around the trade deadline were always dreadful.  Players getting pulled mid-game, teams suiting up 8 or 9 guys becsuse 2-3 players were on jets elsewhere.  It'll create better basketball next week.  Don't think it will really affect trades all that much themselves, however.
