It's finally here guys. Outside of Bass this is the young team we've wanted! (at least most of us) We should get a top 4 pick this year and the same the year after. Its honestly kind of exciting. With all these picks and possibilities I'm starting to actually get some hope about the Celtics future. Just need to hit on a draft pick

I've never been happier to be a Celtics fan. They need to lose more and they will. Amazing day!!! Just wish it was last year this happened.

You haven't been a Celtics fan for very long....
This is better than any Celtic championship ???

You aren't looking at this the right way. This is the beginning of the next great Celtics dynasty. Okafor might have a shot of happening now.

We said this during the Oden/Durant trade, we did this during the Wiggins/Parker class.

I admire your optimism, but let me ask you this...

During 2007, we still had Paul Pierce and Al Jefferson. In 2014, we have Rondo, Sullinger and Green. What I'm saying is that when we missed during those times, we still had a core that we can retool our roster to try and be competitive along with assets.

Now, we don't have any player in our lineup that can be considered a player who can help a contender, and a ton of picks. If Jahlil Okafor, Emmanuel Mudiaye, Karl Towns, Ben Simmons or Thon Maker doesn't walk through that door, nor if any of those picks doesn't turn into a player we can lean on moving forward, what now?
You can curse the basketball god because you did your best

And you can also replace Danny and Stevens, which the ownership will be inclined to do if we crap out.

The clock is ticking, Danny. 2-3 years to turn this around or I'm hoping that BOS completely wipes the slate, from top to bottom. :(

Oh of course we can. I mean its not like getting rid of them will magically transform us into a contender because Danny played the luck game and lost.

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

This is true, too.

But Danny was the one who let Rondo walk for basically nothing. He should've waited or held out for a better return for Rondo. He apparently undersold Rondo.

And Stevens, apparently, could not coach Rondo...I know this is pure speculation, but was Rondo "THAT" flawed as to where Danny couldn't try to build around him or wait it out until the Summer 2015?

This is why I suggest that BOS wipe the slate totally clean if in 2-3 years we crap out. This is because the path that Ainge is setting the team on would be totally his.

And in 2-3 years, who are we going to trade to get MORE draft picks?

If Not one of our 16 first and second round picks lands a young star or is traded for a star Ainge will probably be fired.

Danny has the right idea, but it still might not work out. Have to play the odds in this league; every path you take is a gamble. Even the Cavs, who got Love and Lebron, might not win a championship with them!
