NBA teams have to use 90% of the salary cap . This year the cap is 63 mil , and 90% is 56.7 mil

Say the cap goes up to 68 mil this summer , as it is supposed to go up .

If we buyout Nelson our roster is .........

PG: Smart          / Pressey      /
SG: Bradley       / Young         /
SF: Crowder     / Wallace       /
PF: Sully           / KO               /
 C: Zellar          /  Empty         /

That is around 35 mil

We have 3 1st rd picks which will cost around 7 mil total

3 more empty vet min spots is 1.5 mil

so lets say we are around 44 mil total . That leaves about 24 mil in cap space , 90% of 68 mil is 61 mil . A max free agent would bring us to right around the 90% min salary required.

Or do we take on expiring contracts with a pick from teams selling to get up to the min salary requirement .

Either way the C's will need to add about 15-20 mil in salary next year,  maybe more if they can move Wallace or Bradley.

min salarly is not a big issue, if you don't reach it you pay the same amount as if you did
