I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That would be legitimately hilarious, if true.

A friend of mine once joked that Garnett is so intense that he probably talks trash to his ham sandwich as he eats lunch.  That cracked me up and I have always pictured him swearing at his food as he eats it.  I wouldn't be surprised if this is true.

Man, second great Onion article on Garnett. That one about him being too intense in 2008 (I think) was also brilliant.

The OP sounds like he actually though an Onion article was serious. That always disturbs me.

Lol.  KG can do no wrong

How can you understand the satire from the onion but not sarcasm from me?

I admit I wasn't sure either if you understood it was satire.  Tone doesn't come through with the written word very well.
