I couldn't help but notice Gerald pull Rondo over to the side when he went to the bench to have a few words with him - it's something Gerald has done with all players this year. It made me think of an interview Gerald had during the off season and something he said about Jeff:

Quote
“I’ve made a great relationship with Jeff,” Wallace said. “And like I told him, ‘I’m going to be on you all year long.’

“For this to be a successful season for me would be for him to go to the All-Star Game. That’s one of the things that I’ve been pushing. Me and him have been talking about it. I’ve been trying to give him ideas and things he can do to improve his game out on the court."

Given how strongly Jeff has started the season, it made me wonder just how much of it is the influence of Gerald. His best days as a player are very likely behind him, but he may have a bright future on the bench as a coach in the future.

I'm with you. I actually really like Wallace, just not his contract. He'd be an excellent bench piece for a contending team, and he always leads by example. Good vet influence for younger guys.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

TP for post AND quote, especially what I underlined.

GWall.....unselfish teammate ..... Doesn't forget where he comes from, literally and figuratively.
