I'm glad that nothing written on here matters, since no one who matters will read it, cause I wouldn't want coach Stevens to think all Celtics fans are this ungrateful. If Stevens is dumb that is depressing because we are all obviously dumber than him so you are pretty much saying everyone on Celticsblog is really really dumb.

He is doing a outstanding job in many aspects.   Keeping a young team motivated and their chins up after losses is not easy.   I think he runs great practice and prepares nicely.

He is learning about rotations tho.  I see small improvements in his calling the game .  He is learning as he goes.

He is slow to reconize certain swings in momentum .  This group is not ready to play through much adversity.
Knowing your enemy is important in the NBA.   A lot to digest.

I think he'll eventually get it,  by the time a few better players can be brought in.

He is learning how to handle these star personalities .

It's different from college for sure

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Stevens seems pretty passive.

Butler hits three after three and no adjustment is made.

Rondo continues to suck in the fourth quarter and no adjustment is made.

Thank God, Stevens at least is starting Zeller. That's the reason we are winning now.

Is it because we are starting Zeller or because we benched Olynyk?  ;D

I agree that Zeller is the reason we've won these games.

-It lets Sully play PF for the entire game.
-It gives Rondo a pick and roll target that he hasn't had this season.
-It takes pressure off of Sullinger on the defensive end, and leaves Sully with gas in the tank to        finish the fourth quarter. He doesn't have to help so much on the opponents big when they turn the corner on Kelly O.
-It lets Olynyk build his confidence against second units.
-It gives us a 7 footer than can protect the rim by altering the shots of opposing bigs and thus gives Rondo more fast break sequences.

Can you imagine being a shy guy like Olynyk, as a 2nd year player, playing out of position, having about 15-25% less strength from less years in the NBA gym than most of his opponents?
He must be taking an absolute pounding and his body is adjusting.

For now we can be happy that Olynyk has gone to the bench, but you have to remain realistic and remember that we beat the Lakers and the Pistons. We were lucky to beat a terrible Pistons team in the TD Garden.

The reality is we've beaten two good teams. The Bulls without Rose, and the Wizards where we shot 50% + from three.
We have a long way to go but the signs are promising.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
