This is an amazing story, it's a glimpse into not just Alcatraz itself, but the social climate of the 50's, where black UCLA players Bill Russell, KC Jones, and others became an inspiration to white and black inmates alike in the infamous prison.

minor correction:  Russell and Jones played for the USF, not UCLA.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.
