Good luck reigning him in.....torpedoed our chemistry last season with his jackball. I loved watching his competitive fire on the court, but he doesn't get it. Stephens has a chore on his hands.

He literally shot 28 3's in a 4-game stretch - made 3. Didn't matter - he still did it anyway the rest of the season.

Also okstate alumn here. You sound like a Travis Ford lover. Marcus has a high IQ coach now. He's had more open shots in 4 games than in 2 years under Travis.

It doesn't matter who the coach is if he doesn't listen.

I'm sure you hated Dez Bryant while he was there too! OSU had no one near Smarts talent level and I'm sure he felt like he had to do it all and be the man.

Smart may have jacked more than needed on that team. But the rest of the OKC ST team looked pretty so so. Not much outside shooting. In college ball someone has to shoot that 3.

He's young. I expect him to mature and find a role over these next few years.

I like Smart's game and fire a lot. I think the C's will be fine with him.

So what you're saying is we have a smaller Kobe with all nba defense? I like it!
I trust Danny Ainge

Smart is pretty impressive so far. His defense is NBA level. His offense is inconsistent. Some flashes, then some airballs. At least he showed something you can build on, his defense.
