But at 6, in the deepest draft in a decade you should be able to draft someone who can create his own shot.
The 2014 draft was only "deep" in the sense that there were, perhaps, 6-10 players with skill and potential level comparable to Marcus Smart's.

As for drafting "someone who can create his own shot" -- we can all see the draft board, there don't seem to be such players in the 6-10 range.

-Rondo had 16 dimes. He would be a good fit as a role player on a contender that needs a point guard upgrade. Even a team like OKC that should move Westbrook to the 2.

I stopped taking you seriously after this. I skimmed through the rest of your post and honestly, you come off as a troll.

Marcus Smart was the "bad" of the game? Really?

I'm far from a troll. I just want what's best for this team to get to the mountain top again. If Banks 2.0 was taken late 1st, early 2nd round I wouldn't have a problem with it. But at 6, in the deepest draft in a decade you should be able to draft someone who can create his own shot.

I'll say that if the celtics play this right and Okafor or Towns comes here this team will be a title contender quicker than if they just try to make the playoffs. That's why Philly is in a great position right now. Same with Minnesota. They bought into sucking short term for long term gains which is a necessity in a mid market like Boston, Minnesota or Philly.

so who would YOU have picked at #6?

He wanted Randle, IIRC -- which, given the fact that he wants the team to lose as many games as possible, would have been a perfect pick.  ;D
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Absolutely. You can use hindsight as being 20/20 but Randle was the pick and will be the better pro than Smart. He has a higher ceiling and will be an absolute animal for the Lakers for the next decade. He's hurt this year but look at Noel...clearly the best player in the draft last year. Not even close.

Gosh, I hope not. In the past two years, he's broken a foot and a leg. I hear they put down horses for that kind of thing.

Besides the injury thing, I don't see much in common between Nerlens Noel & Julius Randle.

Yeah totally different approaches to the game as players, and different levels of athleticism.

Randle's injury is a lot less scary for that athleticism however, ACL tears can sap that even in young men.

I normally don't respond to this kind of pro tanking post.  I am glad you found last night s game to be "perfect". I found it disgusting that we can be like two different teams. Now I hope the Celtics can win their next four or five games and get the true Celtics fans to believe we can be successful in the new league of parity which punishes tankers.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
