the whole point of this bit to honor Jeter was that it was all time Boston greats. I'm sure they told Pierce beforehand that he'd have to wear Celtics gear, it's not like he was spotted sitting in the stands just watching the game with a celtics jacket on
I love this just as much as everyone else, but its a non story for Wizards fans and their organization
who's to say Pierce didn't say "i'll only do it if I can wear some Celtics gear"?
