Bass - putting his home up for sale.  It could be to prepare for next season as the Celts are 90 percent not likely to bring him back. But why put up it up for sale now?

Thornton - Is now allowed to be traded.  His agent wants him to be showcased /given playing time for his next contract but there is not alot of min to go around.

Bogans - Danny can't guarantee this guys deal. Somebody has to bite on his non guaranteed contract. It's a great way to save money. Same can be said for Babb and Johnson.

--Two teams i could see us making a deal with

To Nuggets: A combination of above (mainly non guaranteed)
To Celtics: Mcgee

Celtics need a center. Zeller is likely going to be a good backup and part time starting Center. But Mcgee provides the above the rim protection the Celts can really use. He has been known to take over games at the defensive end and block 6, 7 shots in one game.  Denver on the other hand has too many centers.  Mozgov, Hickson and now Nurkic. They have the 5th highest salary in the league and this move can help save them about 5 million plus getting Mcgees contract off the books for the future.

To Knicks: A combination of above
To Celtics: Bargnani (waived), Aldrich and a future pick.

Knicks could use some more vets for their playoff plans. Bass and Thornton would definitely work.  Celtics would receive Bargnani but then waive him right away.  The guy has zero trade value, is a liability on the defensive end and we got a better version of him in KO. Aldrich would be a nice pickup and can battle zeller for the starting center spot. He has an enormous 7'5 wingspan and 9'3 reach and is considered a very good rim protector, rebounder , big bodied and can do some scoring.    This would be a trade to clean up the roster and get a decent looking young center vs getting the best for your money.

We could also do nothing, but BS is going to go through alot of headaches trying to manage playing min.   Some of these vets are fighting for their contract lives.  I want BS to concentrate on building/moving this team fwd without much distractions.

I think this is an interesting point.  Add in some timely Gerald Wallace barbs and there's a possibility for a rather toxic locker room this season.

No way I take on Mcgee's contract.  He hasn't shown much to date and is coming off a serious injury.

and for these reasons you mention they make this trade with us. A pre injury Mcgee would be worth alot more. Something like Sully and a future 1st .

This would be a risky move but one that could really pay off.

Yeah I would definitely take the risk of it, I mean really what could it hurt? We have some cap space coming up next year but who are we going to sign? Aldrige isnt coming to boston. We hardly ever sign big name free agents.

Pair McGee with Rondo and see what happens. He's making 11 mil this year then becomes an expiring 12 mil next year. That contract on a rebuilding team really isnt terrible at all.

Aldrich signed a FA deal with the Knicks this offseason, so he can't be traded for several months.

Funny, in  reality is he is a horrible scorer and rebounder.

Break out those PER 36 stats.  Even with them he is underwhelming.

What are you his agent, brother or mother?
