Since LeBron announced his decision to return to the Cavaliers last month, many Heat fans are upset that the 4-time NBA Most Valuable Player never thanked them for their support during his four seasons in Miami.
Silly Miami fans!!!
Don't they know that the king doesn't thank THEM. It's they who should thank the king for giving them those championships as so many James' jock sniffers/supporters/apologists around here also feel, and anyone who disagrees with them and is critical of the self-proclaimed king James, suggesting anything negative about the king, are all just blind haters.
Still hating I see. Why do fans always feel so entitled? These athletes don't owe fans anything ("thanks" included). You pay your money for their service, when that service is delivered, it evens out. Why does he have to thank the fans (even though it's often the polite thing to do)? I really wish people would get off this high horse. It's embarrassing. If I had to stoop this low, I would say he brought them those two championships, so if anybody owes anybody a gratitude, it's the ingrate Miami fans. Call me his apologist or whatever but the guy get's too much hate. I don't believe I am his apologist. I just hate it when people get unfair criticisms just because bunch of people decide to put them on pedestals.
When someone criticizes or dislikes someone they're necessarily hating? I guess there's a lot of hate going on in this board and the world in general, all unfounded and undeserved?
And anyone who is pretentious enough to refer to himself at "the king" is placing himself on a pedestal. To me that deserves disdain and ridicule.
I'm sure MJ referred to himself "His Airness" guite often NOT.
He was young and immature when he did this...just like a lot of other mistakes he made in his early years in the league. Why should he be branded for the rest of his career because of that? Some of the criticisms were rightfully warranted but most of them are just downright hate. He's made a lot of adjustments and has matured a whole lot from those days. He paid for some of those mistakes as well. He's come a long way. Maybe someone should continue to grill and guilt you about some dumb mistake you made when you were 19.
Everyone makes mistakes at a young age but kingly self proclamations and tattoos that are self-deifying (THE CHOSEN ONE tattoo on the full top of his back and the Gifted Child tattoo somewhere on the front) are to me more than just mistakes and exhibit a pattern of behavior hinting strongly at a messianic complex, which many folk, including myself, don't find endearing.
Again, name calling, by calling people haters because they dislike or criticize someone, seems a bit over the top to me.
Edit:Actually that sounds like a hater to me.
