it looks like the market is still slow with him.. I havent seen a price tag either... but it looks like Portland almost had a sign and trade for him so he is available without Det matching the offer .. Offering Sullinger and a bogans contract plus a protected pick wouldnt be so bad..

Yeah... you're not getting Monroe on a contract with a starting salary of $7 million.

Pistons are willing to over the tax to match so no one is offering a deal. If Monroe plays out his QO then he will be UFA and teams can actually get him. Good move by the league.

Yeah, I think you'd have to toss in Green with that to make the numbers work. Then we could sign Turner for a two year, second year team option in case he hurt team chemistry.

Aside from fear of tying up money in a RFA and missing out on others I cant understand why the Heat didn't make a run at Monroe. Deng fills their hole at SF I understand that but moving into the post lebron era Monroe and Bosh seem like a great pairing. Their skills compliment each other nicely.
