  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Is that we acquire Kevin Durant in 2016, Rondo is still here, and we grab Marc Gasol in FA in 2015-2016 with promises of a contention.

I think a team of Rondo, Durant, Gasol is definitely still a top 3-5 team to me.

I would still love Kevin Love to come here, but it doesn't seem like its gonna happen...

 :( :( :( :'( :'( :'( :'(

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

my biggest pipe dream as of 5 minutes ago is Riley trying to grab some assets from the Cavs and screw over Houston.    If he can sign-and-trade Bosh for some middling assets like Thompson + Waiters it's a win for him (getting something instead of nothing), it's a win for the Cavs (they can keep bennett and wiggins) and it's a win for the Celtics (love back in play, baby!)

TP for the pipe dream. I would be more than happy with adding those 2 players to Rondo. I also agree their is zero chance we get Love now. I cannot see the Cavs not pouncing on that opportunity.

My biggest nightmare is that our rebuilding project just got extended 4 years out and that does not make me happy in any way. If we keep Rondo around for a year in the hopes of getting Gasol next year, I just dont think he is going to buy into a 2 year plan to wait to contend again. In addition, Rondo on our team this coming year will not get us in the lottery next year. Our conference is still horrible and now Miami is going to be a stinker as well. We will be just bad enough to hit the 7-8 seed most likely. A first round matchup with the Cavs will be no love affair I can get behind.

This is what I'm hoping.

I think Cleveland would be better off keeping Wiggins to groom for the next few years, and then take over for when Lebron can't carry the team.
