Kelly Olynyk plays like he is stoned.
He needs to learn how to shoot a hook shot with either hand. It would help him a lot inside.
No he doesn't.
Yes, he does.
He gets in positions where he can't get his shot off without contorting his body.
If you can shoot a hook with either hand, you can shoot easily from almost any position.
Just ask Tommy Heinsohn......
"Well, anybody that shoots a hook shot, whatever hand, I jump up and cheer because it’s the easiest shot, it’s the best tweener shot. To give you an idea of what I’m talking about, if you drive to the basket and you can’t get all the way and you stop to shoot a jump shot that allows that extra count for the defense to catch up to you. But if you shoot a hook shot and you keep going and you beat your guy, he never can get back in the play, so it’s a cleaner attempt at the basket. Just recently in the playoffs we had Big Baby Davis really do a terrific job in a game that Garnett was suspended and he ended up shooting a running old time hook shot over two people and they didn’t know where it was coming from."
