I wonder if Olynyk is on the summer league roster to showcase him, and if rumors of Sullinger being overweight are overblown to keep him out of deals

That's some very serious tinfoil hat stuff. Sophomores almost always play in summer league. Unless they're the LeBron kind of sophomore.

Pre-Draft --  'Im sure a deal is already in place, Love will be here on draft night'

Post Draft -- 'Love will be here before the end of July'

Prediction....

Pre-Season -- 'Love will be here by the trade deadline'

Post Season -- 'Love is going to sign here'

.....I want the guy just as much as anyone else, but I think the deal is pretty dead at this point.

you got it

If there was an offer for Love pre draft and Wolves didn't take it, then Danny is not going to leave the deal on the table still. Espcially when guys like Smart, KO are proving worthy of being kept

Team would be wasting their assets. We are in an inferior market to California, Miami, New York, Texas. Face it, the Celtics will NEVER sign a top free agent. NEVER. The reason is because the weather in Boston is terrible and the nightlife is also horrible too. That being said the only way the Celtics will rise back to power is building from within. All they need to do is tank for one of the elite centers in the draft next year and then back to prominence eventually. Rondo Bass both need to go. Just say no to Love!

As much as I want Love, it seems highly unlikely, the warriors are front runners at this point, and I personally think it will be Love to GS or he stays in Minny for one more season. The celtics have bigger needs at C and a scorer at the guard position. At PF we have: Bass, Olynyk, Sullinger. Hopefully we can add Moser to the PF and re-sign Humphries. I would love to get Love but I think it's 99% unlikely this year.

And I don't think we're getting Love this year. Flip is too stubborn and too incompetent. I think Danny's vague allusions to wanting a quick rebuild but not forcing anything was cementing this. Flip is an idiot and won't trade Love.

I still think there's a chance that Boston nabs Love. Still It's amazing how Boston fans are still insecure of their hometown. Even after top players praise the town and its fans.

I'm not sure GSW's are front runners right now. I would think the deal would be done by now since there isn't a lot of things they could do. Thompson is the deal breaker. Half the suits don't want to part with him, and neither does Curry. If they sell Curry on it, then the deal gets easier, but if they don't and they pull the trigger anyways, either curry plays like crap because he's ticked off, or he's gone as soon as he can.

And Thompson doesn't want to sign an extension with Minni, so that's not a good deal for the TWolves. But if LA gets both Melo and Lebron I could see them panic and pull the trigger, but it's not a good move. Lebron would be playing PF and that would mean Love would have to guard him, and no way that's going to happen.

Cleveland is the darkhorse that scares me. If they can get Lebron to commit, they'll throw Wiggins at Minni, and they will take him as soon as some one says "Cleveland is on the pho..."

Huston, maybe, but they'll have an easier time landing Bosh. Would be better for them, plays better D and they need that to make up for Harden. And they are better off with a cheap SF in Parsons, then to try to find an other SF that plays like he does for the MLE.

I can see DA waiting in the shadows, waiting for all the other teams to fall one by one. I think thats his game plan. Go in, in the beginning low, and see what other teams do.

With Minni expressing interest in Humps, and AB's contract that is 2 mill higher than last summers offer. I could see this being Minni's last resort deal.

I mean you could do... AB,Humps,Green,Sully/KO, filler, and the Clips 2015, and the Nets 2018 and bring in Love and Martin or a combo of other players to make it work. And still have 5 picks to either use for a trade or draft. And you could keep Smart see if he can play the SG, or keep incase Rondo bolts, and Young for a nice young core. I do have a feeling Smart would have to go, but maybe we take back a Robinson, or Lavine. They don't need all those guards.

Not true.  All it takes is winning and plenty of free agents will want to play for you.  Danny Ainge has never had tons of cap space to play with before, and even when he didnt he was still able to land players like Rasheed Wallace, Stephon Marbury, and Sam Cassell with only the MLE and the League Minimum.  No those guys werent top free agents, not because we couldnt sign top free agents but because we didnt have the cap room for it.  However, those players I mentioned were top free agents in regards to teams with only the MLE and less to spend and they chose to play here.  You can scoff at those players all you want but we were all psyched when we signed them

So saying no free agent would ever come here is a big steaming pile.
