Happy 4th everyone.

I don't necessarily want to see Rondo go but if that's the direction the Celts go in, could you see Boston and Phoenix agree to swap Rondo for Bledsoe?

Maybe somehow we could get Okafor in a S/T as a center for a future pick?

It would seem this could be the most logical and even Rondo trade.

Right now, perhaps Bledsoe may have the higher ceiling because he's younger but he's also had two bad knee injuries and maybe Phoenix looks at Rondo as an upgrade over Bledsoe.

From the Celts standpoint, if Bledsoe doesn't have another injury setback and progresses as a player, he could a be big part of the team going forward in the back court with Smart and Avery "8 million dollars a year" Bradley.

Just wondering how realistic this could be.

Well, both Okafor and Bledsoe are free agents, although I'm not sure if Bledsoe is a restricted one or not.  He's an awesome player, but the guy's already undergone two procedures to fix tears in his acl - yikes.  For that reason, I say no.  We don't need the Leon Powe of point guards on our team.

What if it was a three team trade that sent Rondo and Sullinger along with the Philadelphia second rounders to the Suns, Bledsoe to the Lakers and brought us Nash, Randle and the Laker's pick (via the Suns) with the restriction taken off?

I guess no position is important but guard .  We can win with short basketball players. I thought when DA drafted Smart .....the we need this or that guard threads would die off ...
I was wrong. :-X

What do we need a center for.

Let's just have 15 guards from 5'8" to 6 '6"

I think any trade involving Rondo should be for a big.

Must've missed the Okafor part of the original thread I take it.

I was thinking Dragic too but after the year he had in Phoenix, I think the Suns might want to hold onto him.
