Yeah, you can name one guy, Joe Johnson. Nice job.
Well fine.  That's fair.  You probably have a point.  Let's take a look at the top SGs in the league compared to 6'2 227 pound Smart.

James Harden - 6'5 220
Derozan - 6'7 217
Martin - 6'7 197
Kobe - 6'6 205
Ellis - 6'3 185
Klay - 6'7 205
Afflalo - 6'5 215
Beal - 6'5 207
Matthews - 6'5 220
Meeks - 6'4 208
Gordon - 6'4 215
Stephenson - 6'5 230
Oladipo 6'4 215
Manu - 6'6 205
JR Smith - 6'6 220
Vince Carter - 6'6 220
Thornton - 6'4 205

... So you're probably right.  The dude is shorter than all of them, but also heavier.

Also... my god...the shooting guard position is completely barren of talent right now.   You have James Harden... maybe a healthy Kobe... and then what?  It's a bunch of bleh.

Also in your defense, I imagine his wingspan will be helpful.  I randomly picked a couple players and saw that Klay Thompson has a 6'9 Wingspan.  Bradley Beal has a 6'7 wingspan.    Smart has a 6'9 wingspan.

Right. I'm not sure I follow all the "Smart is huge" comments.  He's 6'2 without shoes and weighs 227 pounds.
Smart is huge for a PG (his natural position).

I would compare him to someone like Jason Kidd with his combination of size, length and strength. Kidd was able to defend PGs, SGs and SFs at a high level because of his defensive smarts and physical talent. Smart is very similar in that regard.

Unlike say someone like Rubio who, despite being 6-4, is physically weak and struggles to cope with physical task of defending players bigger than he is. Smart, like Jason Kidd, due to his exceptional lateral quickness + exceptional physical strength is very well equipped to defend opponents bigger than he is and be very effective in doing so.

What you guys need to realize is that teams are going to defend him with the biggest player they can get away with.

If Smart is playing PG, and Bradley is playing SG, the other team is just going to switch and put their shooting guard on Smart, who weighs 30 pounds more than Bradley.

They might be better served to stick their quickest, smallest guard on him with instructions to just flop at any hint of a lowered shoulder. Smart has to be one of the early favorites to lead the league in charges/48 next season.

If you are going to use everyones measurements with shoes you might as well use Smart 6'4 height as well.  Just a thought.

Celtics fans are delusional.  No matter who we drafted every Celtic fan says we got the best pick and he's most ready.  Please, Parker is most NBA ready.  And now Young is Jeff Green's replacement? Really? On a side note, we overpaid dearly for AB.

You mean we were high on Olynyk, Sullinger, and Bradley?

Yes lol. Only players worth keeping for the future are Rondo, Smart, Young and Sully.

We are optimistic and have a positive outlook. Anyways, Parker is more NBA ready offensively but not defensively.

As for Bradley it is not the end of the world. He is still young and has improved every year. If he can stay healthy I am ok with the contract.

I can't wait 'til Smart plays against Wade, and "accidentally" elbow that flopper in the face.

I love how he went at Embiid twice towards the end. This guy just LOVES to take it to the hole.
