I don't love the idea, but I could live with it.  I feel like Rondo should be worth more than that, but we have not exactly been overwhelmed with offers for him.  Henson could hold down the center position for a year allowing Sully and Olynyk to play more time at PF helping their development. We would likely be back in the lottery again and perhaps have two lottery picks, plus the Clippers and Philly picks which could help us move up.  As Future Celtics Owner said, there are a lot of centers in next years draft.  Okafor is projected to go 1 or 2 and Towns 4 or 5, and there are a few decent consolation prizes.  One more year of misery and we could have a nice looking team with the Brooklyn picks and cap space in tact.

Next year we could have a roster of:
Smart, Pressey
Bradley, Young
Wallace, Young (I think Green will opt out)
Sully, Olynyk
Okafor/Towns/other, Henson

I think the better avenue for the long term health of the team would be to do a Larry Sanders orJohn Henson trade separate from a trade involving Rondo. Who knows what MIL wants or has planned but they have their poster boy in Parker and Im sure Sanders shines a bad light on their team. I think Sanders is a great defensive center. He has the ability to get 10/10 and 3 blocks a game. The year have got 2.8 blocks a game, there was a grant land article that showed he was the nest defensive center in the NBA. His stock is down now, but maybe we can get him for a bargain

I totally agree to your idea about getting Henson and I proposed it on a couple of other threads on this site but other posters really did not have a great deal of enthusiasm about him. That may be only because Milwaukee was a horrible team to watch this year. Like others have said, I don't think Rondo is going to agree to sign in Milwaukee. Maybe a smaller trade for Henson, like our Clippers pick and filler, would be easier to do?
There were people proposing a trade for Henson before the draft. Who knows what direction MIL is going, but if Henson or Larry Sanders were made available Id like to get them; but not for Rondo. Rondo's value and our direction is very hard to tell now. But I still think we could get more for him.
IMO, seems like the type of deal you make at the trade deadline if you know RR isn't resigning and you need to get something before he walks.
Henson is a quality player, but a late lottery, (if they had rondo), and Henson doesn't really do it for me.
BTW, first post, long time stalker. Thanks for having me!

Yeah, he looks pretty good too.  The point is we would not need to get lucky with ping pong balls to get a good looking center as that position is stacked next year.

Here's a highlight video for Turner.

I like da idea man. It is under selling rondo tho as some of the others mentioned. If bucks insisting on rondo tho to get a deal then maybe base it around rondo wallace for henson pick and cap filler (less time than wallace horrible contract)

Henson is a bad defensive player.

Henson gets a lot of blocks and deflections with his length and quickness but he is undisciplined and has bad defensive fundamentals and positioning. His physically weak frame makes him vulnerable against any skilled or physical big man. Does not box out well either. Concedes large number of rebounds as well due to lack of size in box outs.

Henson is not a solution. He is a long term project.
