Kris Humphries is not the secret piece that lands us Kevin Love.

He is a nice back up power forward, and the MLE is about as much as a team should spend on a backup 4. The Wolves should sign him without compensating the Celtics, otherwise they are overpaying.

he is definitely worth more than the MLE. he's a double double guy. not worth what he got paid last year. but worth more than the MLE.

Plus, if the Wolves are stupid enough( and it seems they are) to look for win-now type players, he fits right into that mold.

certainly better than the scrap heap that the Bulls were offering.

I don't think the Bulls were ever seriously involved. The Warriors have the best potential package with Thompson and Lee.

As for Humphries, you need minutes in order to get double doubles. I don't rank Humphries as one of the 30th best power forwards in the game, and with only 30 teams in the NBA, he shouldn't be playing starter minutes.

He is a garbage man that plays hard and rebounds, that's it. He is not a good defender or scorer.

How much do you think he is worth if 6 million per year isn't enough?

hmm, would you do'

Humphries, bradley, olynyk, 2015 clippers, 2016 brooklyn. heck, I would throw in a C's pick as well to get it done

for

Love/martin?

we can roll out a lineup of rondo/smart/green/love/?? with sullinger/martin on the bench
Since they want experienced players, let them have Bass instead of KO. as for the picks, no Brooklyn picks.  those will be lottery picks once KG and PP leave the Nets.

well the MLE is only ~$5.3 million to start with. i figure based on what people are getting right now hes worth at least $6.5 million and will probably get 3/24 or 4/30, or maybe 3/24 with a team option 4th year at $8 million.

Yes, the non-taxpayer MLE can be used on contracts from 1 to 4 years in length.  The taxpayer MLE is for no more than 2 years.

Huh. For some reason, I thought it had to be a minimum of 3 years, although the last two could be partially or fully non-guaranteed. Maybe that was under the old CBA.

That's the rule for a sign-and-trade, not the MLE.
