Boston Celtic fan from Oklahoma. We will LOVE Marcus Smart!!!!

Living in oklahoma I watch ALOT of big 12 basketball and I believe Marcus smart has that IT factor. I thought KD had it and didn't think Beasley had it when they both came out. Smarts intensity,competitiveness, willingness to do whatever it takes to give you chance to win and mental toughness and leadership remind me of a guy that came to do Boston and changed the culture of the team KG. Now KG is A HOF and I am not comparing his game with KG I just see a lot of the mental side of KGs game in Smart. Yes Marcus has things he needs to work on to improve his game but name me one player in the whole nba who doesn't? I think Marcus will put in all the time he needs to develop his game to where it needs to be. He is a beast physically, athletically and mentally and I think he becomes a stud. I love the pick it is who I wanted all along partly because I watched him a lot and know what he does. He brings intensity every night just like KG. I just see a lot of the KG intensity in him and I think what will separate him form a lot of people in this draft is his WANT TO!!

Red said u need instigators and retaliators and I think Red would have loved the pick. That tells me all I need to know.

Well, if he shoves a loudmouth Laker fan he'll win me over for sure.

I think we'll like Smart's intensity and bulldog mentality as long as he can keep it under control the way KG (usually) did.  He had some trouble with it this year, and if we struggle again next season it's easy for frustration to bubble over.

I won't go so far as to make any predictions about how good Smart will be...but I'm 100% sure I will love watching him play.

I'm really lookin forward to what he can do.  I agree he has that it factor.  I think the competitve spirit is already there and the lockerroo
 can feed off the intensity.
