I don't know how other posters feel at all, but personally I would really be unhappy if the celtics somehow got Lebron. I know others will say I am being ridiculous, but I really don't like the guy and it certainly would not be as satisfying as winning the championship with him.
To me he seems like a generally unpleasant person and is a lot less easy to root for than someone like Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, Shaq or most of the other recent superstars that didn't give off a bigger than the game mentality. Fortunately, I don't think this will ever happen.
So the best player since Jordan puts on Celtic green for the next 4-5 years and you would be unhappy??? Don't believe that for a second.....need to get a grip man Lebron is not a bad guy. He is a great player with a clean image off the court and any franchise would be lucky to have him...
I would be happy, because we'd be winning games, and have a chance at the finals.
I'd hate my self every mourning after a game for routing for the Queen though.
Well I guess nobody knows exactly how they would react until they are in the actual situation, but I can say I haven't had as much disdain for a player in any of the sports I follow (football, baseball and basketball) as I do for Lebron. This is obviously not including players that do horrible things off the court (let's say hernandez as an example), but he really really rubs me the wrong way. I would also go further and say, while I don't argue he is a really talented player I think he does himself and the league a disservice with the way he conducts himself.
I believe the collusion of players to form superteams is ultimately bad for the league and Lebron has been a big part of that as any (Bosh Wade and Lebron teaming up are at least a small part of the reason the East was horrible and boring this year) . I also think his comments about not needing to flop because he is so good at defense and his egregious flopping on top of that are also bad for the NBA.
