Kevin Love clearly wants to come here. He made that message clear when he made a super public trip everywhere in boston wearing no timberwolves gear, only olympics gear.

I think the trip was more about sending a message to the TWolves, basically saying this is serious and as far as Im concerned Im already out the door.

Would he want to go to the Celtics, yeah I think so.  But it's not like, I'm going to the celtics and no where else.  If that was the case, he wouldve taken more of a public stance about it, basically to tell other teams not to waste their time, and Wolves would be in a far worse bargaining position than they are now.

I don't think it has anything to do with how much he wants/doesn't want to come here it's more about not wanting the backlash that comes with that as you seen with Dwight when he tried forcing himself to teams.

Yeah, I definitely think he is trying to be a good sport about the whole thing while still making his point clear to the Wolves. The thing is, if he would just demand a trade to wherever he wants to go, it would definitely benefit him (as his new team would keep some of their assets they would have otherwise given up to acquire him).

I think the fact that we haven't been seeing weekly field trips all over twitter mean he's interested in the Celts, aside from all the talk that he is.

as inept as the wolves are, I just cant see them holding on to love past the draft and expecting offers to be the same....or that their plan is to just strive for the 8th seed and hope a first round sweep by the spurs/thunder is going to convince Love to stay...that is just silly.

I still say that danny is waiting to put his chips on the table at the 11th hour. let the wolves and golden state duke it out. Then come in and put your best offer out there on draft night. here is the latest from the boston herald

WALTHAM ? Things have grown quiet between the Celtics and Minnesota on the Kevin Love front, but that may not be a bad thing.

According to sources, the Timberwolves have been exploring other trade avenues for Love, and it?s been confirmed they are running into some trouble getting what they want from Golden State. That may force Minnesota vice president of basketball operations and coach Flip Saunders to alter his sights, which could bring the local outfit more realistically into play.

As of yesterday, the Celts and Wolves hadn?t spoken since Thursday morning, according to one source with direct knowledge of the situation, though not aligned with either club.

What?s become clear is that for the Celtics to have a chance at dealing for Love, one of two things has to happen ? and maybe both. The Celtics have to change their offer, last stated as the Nos. 6 and 17 picks next Thursday, Kelly Olynyk and one of their own future first-rounders, or Saunders has to change what he?s looking for.

One league source said the key for the Celts is getting a more accurate idea of what Minnesota wants from them, while another said the Timberwolves came into this process believing the C?s had nothing they want.

That would leave Danny Ainge in the position of getting a better read from Minnesota and seeing if he can involve another team or more to satisfy Saunders? needs.
