If there was a possiblity in getting 2 max contracts plus Rondo near max/max can Green be cut for cap room?

No.  The only way to get Green completely off the books is to trade him.

I think the only player we could amnesty is Rondo, and I'm not even 100% on that, since there's no way we'd do it anyway.

This is correct.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I will be happy in a couple of years when the 'a' word is a thing of the past.

I get the desire to clear cap space, but Green seems like the type of guy that a team under the cap would love to absorb at least for 'free' (the token top 55 protected draft pick). He still has value and is still young enough to produce at a high level. Amnestying him (if this were actually a possibility) would seem like a total waste for the owners.

Thanks for posting. Wonder why the Thunder haven't amnestied Perkins and his expensive contract yet?

why would they do it anyway?  at 9mil, its not a bad contract and he has trade value.  he was 17ppg an 4.6 rpg last year.  i believe he winds up in houston for asik or washington for picks or players.
