How uncomfortable is this interview...
Hill: "Rondo has a Player Efficiency of 17.1 since entering the league... that ranks 22nd amongst point guards, but to the naked eye, you ARE a top 5 point guard... the numbers... just don't quite... add up. And some would say they're lying, but on this show... that never happens (show is called "Numbers Never Lie"). But tell us... are the numbers lying about you. 22nd best?!"
Rondo: *sigh*... "It's gotta be lying... something wrong with the numbers... system or something"
Hill: *chuckles* ... (sarcastically) "Yeah... it's broken... CLEARLY...

" ...
She changes the subject
Hill: "So your contract is up next summer... do you see yourself staying in Boston?"
Rondo: "... umm... that's the plan. Uh, you never know what the season brings. Uh, but as of right now I don't want to go anywhere."
Hill: "... so is this season a litmus test? Something you want to see the organization do (to keep you from leaving)?"
Rondo: "Uh... I just want to win. I wanna
bring in guys who are willing to win. Guys who are competitive and want to win just as well as I do... so... I believe Danny Ainge will do that."
We joke, Celtics18, but this actually does seem like pretty conclusive evidence, if you ask me. No fireworks = 30 wins = goodbye Rondo. We either bring in guys who can help Rondo win (Love and Melo seem to be his dream)... or at the soonest opporunity, he leaves for a team in a better position to be competitive.
I think right now Rondo has faith in Ainge (he should... Ainge is awesome), but it seems there's a lot of pressure on Ainge to put together a competitive team ASAP... and if it doesn't look like he can do that (say, for example, we trade up to take a redshirted Embiid), I think Ainge has to look really hard at moving Rondo before he loses him for nothing.
