The Boston Celtics won #17 on June 17, 2008.

Just wanted to bring it up and reflect on the great memories that night! Man, I think I'm feeling old now.  ;D

Hopefully, draft night will guide us to a successful season and hopes of bringing in #18!

One of the best days of my life!

I was at the Garden for that game, too.

I'll never forget it.

Crazy how times flies.

Was there in Sec. 311 with my dad.  Such an awesome night.  The crowd smelled blood in the water well before tipoff. Chants & the such long before the intros.   There were such an energy & buzz in the building that night. You could sense that it was gonna happen that night and there would be no Game 7.  By the time the second half rolled out, it was just a flat-out out festive celebration of the inevitable.

You are so lucky!  Anyone on here would have killed to be in the Garden that night.  I was fortunate enough to be able to record it, and it never gets old.  I was kind of hoping the Spurs would have done that to Miami, but I'll take 17 points and the embarrassment of getting whipped on their home court in consecutive games  ;)

Not even that Pistons team beat the 04 Lakers by that much.  That's got to be some kind of record for margin of victory over a Phil Jackson-coached team, which made it so sweet.  For once, Jon Barry was right when he said, "They (the Lakers) are getting absolutely punked."  Awesome.

I want to see the close out game again. between the halftime interview with Pierce when they were just asking him stupid questions and he seemed like he couldn't comprehend what they were asking him and he just said - "man, i'm just tryin to win a championship"

then watching Pierce and Doc on the sidelines when the game was all but over with like 8 mins. to go Pierce looked like he was about to lose it and Doc saw him and almost did the same and struggled to keep his composure. I gotta admit I lost it. it was one long freaking rode to see those 2 succeed.

plus I was really beginning to think(before that summer of '07) that I might not see another championship in Boston. Hell in Pierces rookie yr. I told him I thought he was going to be the one to turn this franchise around...glad I didn't lie to him.

ok i'm ready for 18.

Sad how short lived our relevance was.  We should have won at least 2 titles, but KG got hurt in 09 and LA's bigs had their way with us 2010 Game 7.  Nice 3 year window, though.  Hope our next window lasts longer.

I still think if we had 1 healthy or not in foul trouble big against Orlando we would have beaten them and gone on to win it all.

What a day. The KG bank shot andone against Odom was when the floodgates were officially open.

When you get right down to it there really is nothing better than kicking the Lakers butts.  Except for maybe doing it to win the championship on home court.  ;D

Here's the beginning of the end for LA.  Gotta love a good Eddie chant!
