absolutely not, its starting to be depressing how little other celtics fans think of rajon rondo
shabazz is awful, dieng is decent, and who do you think we can get at 13 to make up for it
seriously why is everyone posting these awful rondo trade ideas, were not desperate

THere is no assurance that Rondo will comeback and play like he did in 2011. Not one instance last season did he go end to end putting the defense on their heels. Or showed us a dunk. His defense was horrible

We will see if he is back to 100 percent for this upcoming season.
But also the celts have to determine at some point if he is going to stay or leave and get something in return if he is not committed to comeback .

we cross the rondo bridge when it comes, not sell him for 25 cents on the dollar
hes at his best playing with established players around him and still put up good numbers
hes more consistent from 3 point range now..his defense was absolutely not horrible and who cares if he dunked or not (which he had to have at some point) hes a top 5 point guard and that package to the wolves is ATROCIOUS

The probability that Rondo will back 100 percent is much better than Dieng being Anthony Davis or Smart being on par with the top 5 Point Guards in his rookie year.

oh yea and if we make this trade theres a 0% chance we are a playoff team in 2015, this would drop us down to the bucks and sixers status, the only asset we would have is draft picks and the fact that were the most decorated franchise in the nba, dont make me laugh

in your opinion Rondo9.  Again i never said Dieng will be as good as Davis or Smart as good as RW.

Dieng has the tools , iq and skills to be as productive defensively as AD.  Smart is going to be a top defender eventually and be one of the leaders in rebounds, steals, block shots for his position. Smart also will be a capable scorer , driving in, posting up. If he can get his jump shot working on a consistent basis, will be a nightmare to play against

I won't make you laugh. But why do you want to make the Wolves management laugh then by trading the 6th and Sully for Love?    Do you think they want to wait until 2020 to make the playoffs??

enlighten me

But it is still slim, and even if they are the next All stars it will take years before they adjust. Rondo is an All star now and if he stays healthy, Boston will be an attractive place for free agents.

But they would take the 6th pick, which would be either Gordon or Smart. Very good players according to you and they would an impact early.

Exactly. Triboy contradicts himself in every argument against getting Love. He says he sees potential that the rest of us don't see in Sullinger, Smart, Gordon etc to be superstar players, and trading for Love would be a huge mistake for us to give up such assets, and then he poops all over those same players and assets like in the post above and in other posts where he says the celtics package is inferior to players like Butler and Gibson and inferior draft picks. You can't have it both ways dude.

Why even wait for these young guys to develop? Based on triboy's player comparisons we should just be able to trade KO for Nowitzki, Smart for Westbrook, Sully for Zbo and then acquire Dieng and flip him for Anthony Davis. Then we swap all of our future draft picks for the rights to Mirotic who is a guaranteed star. Rebuild complete!

If you trade Rondo you are writing off the next several years.  Major free agents already don't sign with Boston so why would anybody do it after trading Rondo?  You will be a sub 500 team for quite a while, so you might as blow things up then.

The Wolves don't want to trade Love.  Their first choice would absolutely be to keep him, but if he truly keeps insisting that there's no way he is going to re-sign with them after this season, then trading him away for the best offer they can get will be in their best interests.

On the other hand, Rondo has made no such statements about wanting to be traded from the Celtics or not wanting to re-sign.  As a matter of fact, whenever anyone asks him about it, he says he'd prefer to stay a Celtic.

Completely different situations.
