I am amazed the certainty people have that Exum is a top 4 pick.

Last year Noel was almost a guaranteed top 3 pick in a horrid draft. Didn't happen.

Paul Pierce was supposedly a guaranteed top 3 pick when he came out. Didn't happen.

Players like DeMarcus Cousins and Andre Drummond were talked about as top 3 picks almost their entire season in college. Didn't happen.

These things happen all the time people. I wouldn't be so sure about even the top three going 1-2-3 this year, never mind Exum being guaranteed 4th. Heck, Wiggins was considered the consensus top pick in this draft almost all year. Last fall the thought of him falling to #2 was unheard by some draft pundits. Now........some have him possibly slipping to 4th.

Check out Chad Ford the day before the draft. That's usually the closest you will come to having the correct mock draft order.

Noel feel outside of the top three because of a very major injury that was certain to destroy his first season and potentially threaten his career.  That's a major risk,  hence the drop.  Nothing at all like this scenario because Exum has no injuries at all.

If anyone will drop unexpectedly I think it will be Embiid for the same reason

I agree that Exum is almost certainly going at 4, if he's still there.

The REAL question is, who do the Jazz want at 5?  Has there been any leaks about this?  Do they go Smart, Vonleh, Gordon... other?  I honestly don't know, and it worries me because I prefer Gordon over the others that could be available there.   It seems that the proverbial "coin flip" for the #4 spot (which resulted in the #5 draft) has turned out to be a bigger deal than we had expected.

If they are indifferent between, say, Vonleh and Gordon, and have BYU Intel that Ainge loves Gordon, quite possible they would draft Gordon and then trade him to Celts for their 6th pick and future consideration.  This was what Bulls did to Portland in '06 (Adridge/Thomas swap), and what Minn and Boston did to Portland in '06.

If we ever gave up future consideration for Gordon Wyc should fire Danny on the spot!!! I don't get the love this kid on this board, I have seen nothing that peaks my interest. Than I saw his free throw % and puked all over my computer, I can literally shoot better than that under hand.  ::)

How many games have you watched him play?

I have no clue how some ppl can talk trash about him, when as one of the youngest players in college he was a key reason why Arizona had the regular season they did and went to the elite 8.

You can nitpick the way he looks, walk, shoots the ball, dribbles. Bottom line is, he is a winner.  You draft guys like that, especially if your team needs wins to make it to the next level.

Watch some games, especially the tourney. His impact on both ends can't be all put on the statsheet

I did not watch any of his games, been reading about him and watched videos, he looks like a very good COLLEGE player. What you describe sounds a lot like Rondo to me, and I still hear people Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. they want to trade Rondo because he can't shoot. Now we are going to have a small forward that can't shoot?

Did I mention we already have 2 small forwards that make almost $20 million a year combined? And one of them can't shoot...hell I just nailed it, he is the younger version of .....

CRASH!!!!!

You want that with the #6 pick? Serious? I see some mock drafts have him going at #11, that I could stomach. I guarantee if we draft this kid by December this board will be ringing with people saying he's a bust "the kid can't hit water if he fell out of a boat" so and so on.
