With the emergence of Steve Adams Perk is expedible. If Asik trade doesn't happen why not use the TPE to land Perk and the #29 Pick? He is a one year rental who is actually almost 7 mill cheaper then Asik (Asik will cost ownership 16mill but only hit cap for 8.3).

I especially like this trade if the Cs don't land Love. Perk will be a nice vet addition for another bridge year. His presence would positively effect the development of our young bigs.

Why not?  Because there's a wide gulf between the abilities of Asik and Perkins and questionable talent evaluation skills in anyone who sees them as being close to the same.

You know, I knew this one had to be about Perkins without even his name in the title.

$9.4 million a year for four points, four rebounds and four illegal screens a night.

Ainge would have to be clinically insane to want Perkins back.

Please, no Perkins, no Pierce, no Garnett, no Allen. Let's stop trying to create a reunion of our last championship team and actually build a new championship team.
