Realistic

Falling back to 6 obviously makes it harder but I don't think it's a dealbreaker. Ive fiddled a bit on trade machine and came up with...

Boston trades: Jeff Green, Brandon Bass (expiring), Jared Sullinger, Joel Anthony (expiring)
2014 Boston 6th pick, 2014 Boston 17th pick, 2015 Boston 1st round pick,
Minnesota trades: Kevin Love, Chase Budinger.

Boston would get an immediate top 10 NBA player to pair with Rondo, would cash in half of it's assets, and have 2/3 of it's next big 3.

Timberwolves would get a huge haul of assets and a promising young player in Sullinger. Bass and Anthony are both expiring so they will free up some money in 2015. Minnesota also rids themselves of a bad contract in Budinger.

I honestly think this is fair for both sides. Boston might be heckled to give up an extra nets pick but I think they should fight it to use in another trade down the line. To the people I know will say Boston is giving too much up remember that you are trading for a 25 year old all-star entering the prime of his career. Boston will still have money to sign people this offseason and immediately compete.

This should be our last resort as it seems slightly unfair towards us... I wouldnt be too quick to rid us of JG as he could be valuable in another trade.. Minny us already dumping Budinger on us so unless they include Brewer and/or KMart in the deal id rather hold on to JG and use him in a dif trade (maybe a sign and trade for Monroe if we cant get Asik) or just use him as our 2nd or 3rd scoring option next year...
Also I would try to keep our #17 this year and offer our own pick in 2016 as that will most likely be in the 20s if the rebuilding plan goes according to schedule and then we could use #17 as a sweetener along with the trade exception to get Asik... If not we could use it on Lavine or Hairston incase Bradley doesnt resign..
But overall like ur ideas..

seems to me this is exactly what it would probably take.    but i think ainge will balk at the price.   it's why i don't think this gets done.

I think this is too much.  Green, Sully and 3 1st round picks?  I don't think that gives us good value.  I don't think DA goes that far for Love.  Love isn't a team changing player, he is an all star but he isn't KG.

The reason I included Green was because it's kind of hard to make the money work without including him. Doing some research I actually found that Bogans contract of 5mil until 2016 is totally UNGUARANTEED and is thus an excellent trade chip.

You could do Love and Mbah a Moute for Bass, Sullinger, Anthony, and Bogans and the Wolves could shed 15million in cap room after next season.
