The celtics have declared that Jeff Green is available for trade for the highest bidder. Obviously Green's value has plummeted greatly in this past season, so finding a good trade will be harder for Danny Ainge. Despite Green still showing inconsistency as a scorer and not being able to carry a team, he is still a great 3rd scoring option who can help a lot of teams get over the hump.
For example Green would be a great fit for the talented but ill performing Pistons. In return for Green the Celtics should be happy to receive Greg Monroe, a young and talented center that could be Boston's rim protector of the future. Of course the deal will also be great for the Pistons who ar over crammed in the front- court. Green starting at the three would allow Josh Smith to move to the power forward position in which he is more comfortable, and Drummond will play the five.
Of course the trade wouldn't be ideal if the C's draft Joel Embiid. But if the get to draft an Andrew Wiggins/ Jabari Parker / Dante exum it would be amazing.
ps: I really think there is absolutely no reason to trade Rondo, he is a great centerpiece and it would be unwise to let go of him.
