Outside of the fact that there was a lane violation on almost every single one, this just comes to show that there are good FT shooters, bad FT shooters, and that form is largely irrelevant if the delivery is repeatable. O'Neal is a 71% career FT shooter, looks like Rondo will never get there.

Fair point.  Rondo's free throw form seems to be fairly consistent, though.  Sometimes I think I can predict whether it's going to go in based on whether Rondo appears to slightly hesitate or if he goes into it "in rhythm," but I can't really tell if there's actually a hitch or if I'm just seeing what I want to see.

I've stopped trying to figure out Rondo's free throws. Every time he goes on a streak and he looks as he can make them in his sleep I'd think he's turned the corner... and then he goes on a prolonged 50% FT funk and we're back to where we started.

career he is a 62.2% shooter. not what a guard should be shooting.
this season is his "best" yet as an nba player, 65.3%.

among nba point guards this year, carter-williams is ranked 28th in ft% at 69%. so rondo is pretty far down the food chain in this category.

it looks as if kozy may be correct for rondo's future as a ft shooter. lots of people mentioned rondo's shooting limitations back when he was drafted, so this is not a surprise.
