Through trades, draft and existing players. This is my 2015 team your thoughts

Center:Omer Asik
SG:Gordon Hayward
PF: Kevin Love
SF: Chandler Parsons
PG: 2014 draft pick

We have the draft picks for this foundation:
and trading Rondo and Jared Sullinger and maybe  Kelly Olynyk

Is that worth going forward

I think that is a mediocre looking team.  Unless you can add 2  top level players to that bunch, the Celtics would just be spinning their wheels.
We all think we know more than we really do....

I am trying to figure out how to say "an all white team, really?" as delicately as possible, but I'm having trouble.

The best I have so far is "maybe that HTML coding fail for Chandler Parsons caused more issues with the color for your post than you thought, because all I see is white"

His point guard is probably Aaron Craft.

This^

Top potential of that team would probably be the Timberwolves as constructed right now, which would probably be a 2nd round out in the playoffs in the east. Bad draft picks, while not being in contention, with no cap space for significant improvement. Congratulations you have the new Hawks of the last several years!!!

I'll pass.

I think that lineup would be a bit better than the Hawks, but I would still be shocked if it made the finals, let alone win it all.

 • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Yeah, I had the same thought as you. It's not that all of these players aren't quite serviceable (especially Love and Parsons), but I don't know why these four guys are absolutely the ones to start our next great era.

lower-end playoff team compiled with all the 'hot' trade objects floating around on this site.

one all-star on the team will not win a title, particularly an all-star that doesn't play D.

 • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
That team without Gordon Hayward would be pretty nice.
Depending on the draft pick at PG you'd have a serious semi contender with something like

Exum
Lance Stephenson
Parsons
Love
Asik

depends how draft PG goes but if he could be as good as say Jeff Teague by his 2nd year you'd be pretty happy.
You'd probably be able to afford them if you dumped Wallace and Green too... having the money to sign them all would be close but doable if you could pull sign+trades for Stephenson+Love+Asik.
Asik-8 million
Parsons- cheap now but new deal =$10 million+
Stephenson/Hayward=$10 million+
Love-$20 million

Even Marcus Smart as PG they'd go alright if he adjusted to the NBA.

Just to clarify...black players are allowed right? :-p

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
