Since this is a Rondo stat thread, I think some observations about this season are in order.

I realize I've trotted out the Rondo for Jordan Crawford trade before but, now more than ever, it makes sense:

Crawford's numbers with Celtics this year:

13.7 PPG
5.7  APG
0.9  Stl
41.3 FG%
31.8 3pt%
87.3 FT%

He is a better player, obviously, look at the stats. This Crawford kid hits more foul shots in a game than Rondo does in a career!

Rondo has attempted 6 free throws this season...what?!
Crawford has fought and battled his way to...126!
Rondo just doesn't play hard reducing wear and tear giving...

Advantage Rondo

Rondo is an injury liability. He missed 50 games this year. Crawford missed one.

Listen to me, "Crawford's Celtics" were a worse team. Why do you ask? Crawford's version of the Celtics had a coach who had NEVER coached an NBA team before...ever. Rondo has a coach with almost 50 games under his belt.

Advantage Rondo

At the beginning of the season Bradley booted the PG role and Crawford started at point guard...something he had NEVER done before!

Rondo takes his sweet time returning and gets his job back. He's got 500 starts at point...Crawford basically zero!

Advantage Rondo

Rondo gets paid far more than Crawford assuring the the best medical care. Crawford gets about a million BEFORE taxes and has to commute to California.

Advantage Rondo

Rondo is playing for a Celtics team that is being lead by an all star point guard! What did Crawford have? He had converted 2 guard Jordan Crawford....talk about a screw job.

I realize that my argument deteriorated, somewhat, by the end of the post. I'm also aware that it has run badly off topic.

PPG:  14.5

APG:  9.3

RPG:  6.3

STLPG:  2.0

A/TO:  4.65

FG%:  .658

3P%:  .500

MPG:  31.75

but wait...wait...Rondo doesn't try hard enough (see other very interesting thread).

seriously though, he seems like he is slowly knocking the rust off.  i am hoping for a full 100% return by training camp in the fall.

you don't need until trainning camp to knock the rust off.  In a few weeks after playing 30 plus minutes a game he should be back to close to full health.  In two weeks, if he can't play back to back games, maybe he will never be fully healthy again

Its something people have to be prepared for.
You have absolutely NO idea how sports injuries work.

I dont think you do.

It doesnt take close to two years to get back into game shape.

If after a big injury you cant get back to playing at peak levels within half a season, then odds are against you that you ever will

Do you have any sort of medical background to make that call?

Do you?

Tell me a player after a major surgery that has comeback after one and a half to two years and played at peak levels again

Start with Chris Paul and KG.

Within half a season under their belts both were playing at high levels again. It didnt take almost two years

Chris Paul came back near the end of the season, looked terrible, then had the entire summmer/traning camp/preseason. The following season (starting months after he came back) was probably the worst of his career. Likewise, KG's play in 2010 wasn't at anything close to a high level.
This. To me, high level KG was 2012 playoffs.
