Unfortunately it never really played out but Grant Hill/ T-Mac, there was a pretty deadly combo there.

I'd also say Reggie Miller/Jalen Rose was fun to watch.

and last I'd go with Joe Johnson/ Matrix

my fault - I would go Jordan & Pippen, Lebron & Wade....what about Houston and Sprewell?  on the late 90's Knicks teams?

I don't have anything good to say about those late 90's Knicks teams. A) because I didn't really pay attention to them and B) because they're the yucky, mean Knicks from when the Celtics were bad - and thus not an amusing charity case to root for like last year's squad.

If I'm picking an SG from the 90's Knicks, though, I feel like I have to give John Starks the nod over Spree.

I think Wade and James are pretty good but who is their competition? I think Miami has had very good luck with playing against either very inexperienced teams (OKC, Indy) or heavily aging teams (Boston & San Antone) to win their two titles.   

I'd also argue, as someone else mentioned, that Pierce and Ray Allen were pretty unbelievable together for the first 1-3 years - with a little better injury luck those guys would have put up 3 titles as a duo.

Lastly, if Paul and Ray were in their primes I say they smoke James and Wade pretty regularly. They were already doing it on the downside of their careers against a James and Wade in their primes.

I think Pierce and Ray are leaps and bounds above James & Wade in mental toughness in the clutch as well, which with talent being relatively close, wins the most games.

This is the point where we highlight the fact that Wade basically willed Miami to a Finals victory all by himself back in 2006, right?
